I have been thinking about the possibility of investing for some time now, and I am left wondering if now might not be a good time to get my toes damp in the area. I am, of course, looking at GM. I’m not sure if I’d be insane to invest in GM or more insane not to, I think at the moment the factor that is holding me back is uncertainty on what happens if the company does fold and go under, very doubtful, or if it is bought out by another company, a possibility. What happens to my investment if another company buys GM? Do I lose my money or am I still the owner of X number of shares, but now in the company that bought out GM?

I just look back wishing I had bought in on Google years ago. At the moment I am trying to decide if I can justify paying $15 for the trade, I only have a very small amount to risk, just have to decide how small that small amount is. Not sure if just buying one or two shares is worth the hassle or not, hell, I don’t even know if I can buy just one or two shares. LOL I’m such a stock dummy. Wonder if there is a Stock Trading for Dummies book I could get from the local book store…. Need to go looking. I don’t have patience to wait for Amazon or Barnes & Nobel to send me a book right now.
