My dad and I have been talking more and more about purchasing gold or other precious metals for investment purposes. The favorite is by far gold, since it has a definite appeal to so many and has, over the years, consistently held value or increased in value more often than it has dropped in value.
I have been thinking to look for buying gold ingots from the Monex Deposit Company, although I think my dad would probably much prefer something like the American Eagle gold coins, since he has a collection of all sorts of eagle figurines and pictures and blankets and such.
Maybe that would be something I could consider getting him for his birthday… hmmm… I will need to think on that one and see what the finances are like as we get closer to his birthday.
