Sleep or work?

Why is it that those two things seem to be the only things I ever do?  I was talking to a old friend of mine that suddenly showed back up the other day and as we were catching up I made the comment that it was strange, when the computer is off I seem to get really tired and want to sleep.  I joked that I’m addicted to the thing, but… is it possibly true?

I realized as we were talking that I may have accidentally trained my brain to perceive the lack of the computer as a signal that it can sleep.  Without a regular dose of sitting and working at the computer throughout the day, my brain assumes that it is allowed to shut down and sleep.  Ooops!  I think I best spend more of my time away from the computer.  This means I need to buy one of them pens that transcribes into the computer – right? ::innocent look::  Hey, this is an addiction we’re talking about here, you can’t expect me to go cold turkey… can you?

I have two dogs now, so maybe getting out and walking with them as they get older will be a way to get away from the computer more.  Of course, you know I have been thinking since they were born that I need to start another blog or website just for them.  ::snicker:: I’m so addicted.  Okay, I’ll go see if I can convince myself to be away from the computer long enough to get some rest… oh, wait, no… I have one more thing- two more things to do, then I’ll get off the computer.  I swear.
