Revisions to theme because of Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer has forced massive revisions to the themes on many of my blogs, because I had been using the same general theme on many of them.  The other day I discovered that the sites were not displaying properly in Internet Explorer.  Firefox was showing them just fine, but there was a serious flaw in how they were showing up in Internet Explorer (no idea what Netscape and others were up to with it).

So, now I have started going through them and revising the themes on my WordPress blogs that had the flawed theme on them.  Oh the joy… you can just feel how thrilled I am to have to do this, can’t you?  ::flops on desk in theatrical collapse::.

Add to that the fact that some of my sites seem to be giving me fits about loading up for me to see them and I am getting close to screaming insanely as I pound my head on the desk.

So, tonight I work on the theme for this blog so the thing will be Internet Explorer friendly.

Knight Rider

Just got done watching the new Knight Rider on NBC, really good remake of the show I watched years ago, but I have a serious complaint.  I know all the answers to their contest, but the meanies won’t let Alaskan residents participate.  I would gladly fly down to the lower 48 and pick up my Mustang, but they won’t even let me try to enter to win it.  That sucks!  Good show though, I hope they decide to make it a full time series.

Don’t feel like working today

Since I don’t feel much like working toda, thanks to headache and stomache ache that I know are both caused by yesterday’s loss of Ki, I have decide to just slowly work my way through my websites and see where things need to be posted.  Maybe later tonight I will feel like working and if so I’ll see what I can do to fix the templates on my sites.  I’ll probably just download ones by someone else until I can fix the ones that I had tried to make myself.  Annoying that Internet Explorer is not showing them as nicely as Firefox does, and that just adds to my stress which adds to my gut being torn up and my head hurting like hell.

Sad past few days

I’ve been busy the past few days because first I was trying to keep Kiowa, the runt of the litter, alive.  The little fellow was smaller than my hand from my fingertips to the heel of my palm, but he gave it one hell of a fight.  He made it for a little under a day and a half, but
I was not able to get puppy supplement the first day, or get to the store to get what I would have needed to make some at home, and
the little fellow just was not ready to come into the world even with my efforts to get milk for him from his mother.

Little Ki died early yesterday morning, but being the middle of winter I can not bury him.  Instead I have placed him in a safe place in the shed and in the spring, when I can dig in the ground, I will bury him with my dad’s old springer spaniel and my two childhood dogs out in the backside of the garden.  After Ki is buried there I intend to begin construction on one hell of a huge fricking concrete waterfall structure to be certain that no one ever disturbs any of their graves.

We have puppies… sortta

My nephew’s dog, who I am dog-sitting for the winter, has decided that she needs babies.  So now I have not only the two dogs I had originally taken on to babysit, but eight puppies as well.

One of them is just a tiny squirt, though, and I am not sure he’ll live.  I am hoping and trying very very hard todo all I can to give him the best chance possible, but the poor fellow is about 1/3rd if not 1/4th the size of his siblings and is having a tough go of it.  I’m trying though, so we’ll just have to see.  The puppies were born yesterday starting at about 9 at night, so they’re just over 24 hours old now.

Not much writing to get done when you are playing god-mommy to a litter of puppies, but I have got some writing done and some work on the kitchen.
